Chapter 2

Zubédah Bājī Rao

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was not foolish enough, not to understand what Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar was really after.

Once Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar raped him, Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD himself enjoyed sex, without any hesitation whatsoever.

He was 16 now.

Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar was also 16.

Sweet 16!

Wasn’t she?

She was more aggressive in sex than even Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was ever.

It was 1791 AD, 1,97, 48, 892 Sr’shti Samvat/Creation Era.

His father had already expired in 1782.

Nine long years had passed since his father’s death.

He was only 7 years old then, and did not understand anything properly.

Nevertheless, he had learned from his late father to respect Xatrpati Shivājī, very much.

He remembered once he argued with his father.***

“Pitr’shrī, you say the Mughal Emperors were Vedic Monotheist Hindus.”

Raghunāth Rao smiled at his brilliant nationalist son, Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD.

Even in his 7 years old age, it was clear that Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD would go far more ahead of even him.

It was 1782.

What a tragedy!

Raghunāth Rao never knew it was the last year of his life.

Twenty five years had passed the British defeated Mirzā Muħammad Sirāj-ud-Daulah.

He was one of Raghunāth Rao’s very good friend, but always doubtful of his extremely beautiful Panjvaqtā Namazī Sunni Musalmān wives of having sexual relations with Raghunāth Rao.

Even his Panjvaqtā Namazī Sunni Musalmān wives teased him implying so.

Raghunāth Rao always claimed,

“Sirāj, our enemies spread such rumors against us. Why should I betray you, my dear friend?”

Mirzā Muħammad Sirāj-ud-Daulah looked at Raghunāth Rao gravely.

“Raghunāth, they never claim it’s your fault. They always claim my Panjvaqtā Namazī Sunni Musalmān wives rape you.”

“Nonsense! Sirāj, We say—”

“You’ve nothing to say. I know my wives. They are not satisfied with my Nawābī of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa. They want Pune too.”

Raghunāth Rao smiled curtly.

“I wouldn’t have been a Peshwa if you hadn’t helped me. And you think I’d betray you?”***

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD described in quite detail to his younger Musalmān brother.

Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar does not deserve your honest love, Saåīd.”

What a tragedy!

His younger Musalmān brother was more credible to him than even to his Hindu brothers.

Imām Saåīd Muħammad’s role model was Laxmañ.

Wasn’t it surprising?

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was Imām Saåīd Muħammad’s Lord Ram.

He smiled.

“It’s all right, Bhāījān! I doubted Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar ab initio.”

“What?”

“She is too ambitious to keep her true intentions hidden very long.”

“She raped me last night.”

“Because her Abbū, Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar, believe sooner or later you’d be Peshwa.”

“So, it was planned by her own father, Saåīd?” Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD could not believe.

“Bhāījān, why are you surprised?”

“A Saåūdī Årab Sunni Musalmān Maulānah—”

“I’ve told you so many times, it’s not the real Islam they are practicing now.”

“But you are also a Saåūdī Årab Sunni Musalmān, Saåīd.” Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was worried, “I never questioned your religion. But— ”

“Never worry about me. I’ll never do anything that you don’t appreciate.”

“That’s your promise to your elder brother, Saåīd?”

“Of course, Bhāījān!”

“I’ve nothing you don’t own equally.”

“I know.”Imām Saåīd Muħammad’s eyes were filled with tears of immense love, respect, and gratitude, “You never need to tell me. I’m not blind.”

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD hugged his younger Musalmān brother.

Imām Saåīd Muħammad was younger than he was for only three hours.

Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar has destroyed the great Islamic morals from his daughters as the others Musalmeen have done.”Imām Saåīd Muħammad told him, “Yazīd Malåūn had destroyed what Ħuzūrs and Kħulfa-e-rāshidīn built up in Årab.”

Kħulfa-e-Banī Umayyah were not the true Musalmeen?”

“You must really study Al Tārīkħ Al Musalmeen, Bhāījān. How can you rule them, if you don’t know them exactly what they are?”

“You know them, don’t you?”

“Yes, Bhāījān, but— ”

“You know Al Tārīkħ Al Musalmeen too. Don’t you?”

Imām Saåīd Muħammad smiled.

“I’m an Imām, Bhāījān.”

“So, why can’t you take care of them?”

“I can, and I do. But even then, you have so many Musalmān wives and beloveds.”

“So?”

“What do you think; they are with you, only because they love you?”

“No.”Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD smiled, “I’m not that dumb. We can’t achieve our goal being dumb, Saåīd.”

“They are with you to take care of the political interests of their firqahs, their own religious groups.”

“To what extent the Musalmeen have fallen!”Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD sighed, “Can anyone believe they really follow Ħuzūrs and Kħulfa-e-rāshidīn? Eishān Param Brahm Paramātmā!”

Political dependence plays a large role in human life and their self respect too, Bhāījān.”

“Are you telling me?”

“Bhāījān, we have to fight the East India Company first. These are our internal matters. We can decide them mutually afterward.”

“Yes, of course!”***

Zubédah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar was very much happy.

She could not believe it would happen that easily.

She never said to anyone that she loved Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD.

When his Ammījān Sakīnah Wājid Ashraf, noticed that she always went to Imām Saåīd Muħammad she never suspected her daughter actually loved a Hindu.

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was not Peshwa at that time, yet his father, Raghunāth Rao was.

It was natural to think Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD the next Peshwa.

She was surprised that instead, Mādhav Rāo II was declared Peshwa in 1782  by the treaty of Salbai.

Nana Phađnavīs protected him, running the Peshwāī through a council of influential Generals.

“The Shiåās have put their lady spies on all the twelve Generals, Sakīnah.”Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar gritted through his teeth, “They are too active in Pune to be ignored now.”

Sakīnah Wājid Ashraf looked at her elder sister, Sajdah Wājid Ashraf.

“What do you say, Bājī?”

Bālājī Janārdan Bhānu is my lover since my childhood, Sakīnah. You know it.”

“What do you want to say, Bājī?” Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar smiled, “You can control him still now? The British say he is “the Marāŧhā Machiavelli“.

“Bālājī still love me very much.” Sajdah Wājid Ashraf smiled, “He was always proposing me to marry, but it was not good for us Sunni Musalmān.”

“I know.”

“His family is very conservative.” Sajdah Wājid Ashraf said, “They have warned Bālājī if he’d marry us Musalmān Beauties, they’ll rebel against him.”

“I can’t understand these damnfools called Hindus ever.”

“What do you mean?” Sajdah Wājid Ashraf laughed.

“Some of them are so liberal to us Musalmeen that they have countless Musalmān wives duly married to them. They don’t even bother to convert them to Hinduism.”

“Maulānah,” Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar’s ex wife, Tasbīħ Fātimah Allāhrukħī addressed him, “Hindus never believe in the conversion of their Musalmān wives. On the contrary, they allow their Musalmān wives to offer their Salawāt five times a day.”

“Because they know their Dīn is not true.”

Tasbīħ Fātimah Allāhrukħī laughed.

“You are quite wrong, Maulānah. Have you ever thought why the Pre Babar Musalmeen could not rule Hindus?”

“They were not as shrewd as Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar was.” Maulānah Zahīruddīn Muħammad Bābar smiled.

“You are right. Quite contrary to what the British say about him, Babar never made his attacks on Hindus religious. He made them moral attacks in protection of the Hindus themselves.” Tasbīħ Fātimah Allāhrukħī smiled.

Even in those days of immense male dominance in Musalmeen, the brilliant Musalmān Beauties always managed to learn Arabic and Sanskr’t.

Even the shrewd Musalmeen helped them in mastering different Hindu languages.

With the rise of Maratha Power, Mahārāshtrian became also one of those necessary languages.***

The First Saudi State was established in the year 1744/1157 A.H. when imam Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab and Prince Muhammad ibn Saud formed an alliance to establish a religious & political sovereignty determined to cleanse the Arabian Peninsula of heretical practices and deviations from orthodox Islam.

This joint effort in reviving the Islamic religion in its purest form was seen by Muslims, in India particularly, as the restoration of the basic belief in Tawhid, while Orientalists maintained it marked the beginning of the Wahhabism movement.

Both Saåūdī Årab and Iran were almost always more active in Indian Politics, than the Indians even realized it ever.

Saåūdī Årab was interested in leading Sunni Musalmeen while Iran was interested in leading Shiåā Musalmeen.

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD knew very well how he could keep peace among his people.

He knew the Indians were not interested in their mutual religious differences, basically.

They were interested in fighting with the British more.

But, Jafar Kħān couldn’t bear the Sunni influence spreading in India after 1757.

The Battle of Plassey had defeated the Islamic Power in India.

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD was utterly surprised when he was invited to meet Lotf Ålī Kħān himself.

He could not believe he was seeing the Shah of Persia in person.

“Well,” Lotf Ålī Kħān, the Shah of Persia, smiled, “What’s there so incredulous, my dear friend?”

“I can’t believe I’m facing the great Shah of Persia himself, in person.”

“Well, I’m 21, only 5 years older than yourself.” Lotf Ålī Kħān smiled, “Call me ‘Lotf’.”

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD watched the Shah of Persia scrutinizing him.

“I’m unable to understand why the Shah of Persia is interested in me so much.”

“How much?” Lotf Ålī Kħān smiled.

“Well, Saåīd, my younger brother; told me you wanted to meet me.”

“You are right.” Lotf Ålī Kħān the Shah of Persia kept smiling, “My younger sister Zāhidah Ålī Kħān loves India so much that she wants to marry here.”

Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD looked at the great Shiåā Irānian Beauty watching him so earnestly, right from the moment he entered there.

“You are most welcome in India, Shahzādī Sāħibah.” Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD smiled, and bowed in her honor.

Lotf Ålī Kħān smiled.

“We came here, Ajmer Sharif, only to pilgrimage, to pay homage and expiate our sins, Bājī Rāo. We never knew our younger sister Zāhidah Ålī Kħān would be so impressed that she would decide even to marry here.”

“I feel pride to welcome the Shahzādī Sāħibah here, Your Majesty. However, I still don’t understand the honor I’m being bestowed with of seeing the great Shah of Persia in person.”

“We propose our younger sister Zāhidah Ålī Kħān’s hand for your younger brother, Imām Saåīd Muħammad, Bājī Rāo.”

“We are honored Your Majesty.”

“Bhāījān!”Imām Saåīd Muħammad interrupted, “Please listen to His Majesty first, before any commitment.”

“Saåīd, it’s a great honor to us.”Baji Rao II, 1775–1851 AD admonished his younger Sunni Musalmān brother, “We are indebted to His Majesty, Shah of Persia, Lotf Ålī Kħān, for even he thought you worthy of marrying his own younger sister Zāhidah Ålī Kħān.”

“Yes, Bhāījān, I do understand. But actually, His Majesty Shah of Persia is under wrong impression.”Imām Saåīd Muħammad said gravely.

“What?”

“His Majesty Shah of Persia is under wrong impression that I’d be the next Peshwa of Pune.”

“I see.”

“I’ve told them that only the eldest of us will be the Peshwa, and I’m not eldest.”

“Well,” Lotf Ålī Kħān smiled, “we think it can be managed, Bājī Rāo. Can it be not?”

Imām Saåīd Muħammad immediately recognized the trap.

“How?” he interrupted curtly.

He did not have the time to update his elder brother his agents had informed him.

Lotf Ålī Kħān hasn’t come to Ajmer Sharif for pilgrimage, Imām Sāħab.”

Imām Saåīd Muħammad smiled at Rājvīr.

Rājvīr was not only his agent; he was his childhood friend also.

He was shrewd enough never to believe on any person he didn’t know very well.

Lotf Ålī Kħān has come here with the same goal in mind as Mohammad Khan Qajar has?”

Rājvīr smiled.

“You already know?”

“No. I only suspected. That’s why I sent you to Lotf Ålī Kħān and Rājdév to Mohammad Khan Qajar.

Rājvīr smiled.

“Rājdév told me that Mohammad Khan Qajar has already succeeded.”

“You idiots,” Imām Saåīd Muħammad laughed, “you are not supposed to meet each other without my permission.”

“Hey, only because we call you Imām Sāħab, never try to act our superior.”

“Why not?”Imām Saåīd Muħammad smiled teasingly at one of his closest friends, “I’m a son of Peshwa Raghunāth Rao. Am I not?”

“Sālé!” Rājvīr laughed.

Imām Saåīd Muħammad also laughed.

“Rājdév has done something more you couldn’t do, idiot.”

Rājvīr laughed.

“Jabeen Kħān Qajar fell for Rājdév madly.”

“They never fell madly for anyone.”Imām Saåīd Muħammad said curtly, “They only act so.”

“I see.” Rājvīr said gravely.

“Warn Rājdév. Naåīmah Kħān Qajar is working on Bhāījān, Baji Rao, and her younger sister, Jabeen Kħān Qajar, is working on Rājdév.”

“You’ve warned Bhaiyā, Baji Rao?”

“Bhāījān is more careful than all of us. He was not born yesterday.”
